Ram continues its best-in-class tradition with its new 2021 Dodge Ram 1500. Even without the updates made between model years, and the new amazing model configuration, Ram has raised the bar far beyond what is traditionally expected of a full-size pickup truck. That's why it was named MotorTrend's Truck of the Year for 2019, 2020, and 2021. With the latest version, Ram provides even more luxury inside, style outside, and innovation throughout.
2021 Dodge Ram 1500 - What's New?
Ram decided to spread the love around on its 2021 models, realizing that drivers still want innovative technology on the less extreme models. These include the ability to upgrade, on most models, to a head-up display, fully digital rearview mirror, truck-controlled steering system for trailer backups, and Off-Road pages in the infotainment system. Ram also improved trailer-specific features for drivers who tow a lot.
More safety features became available across the Ram models, including the addition of pedestrian detection to the Advanced Safety package and expanded availability of forward-collision warning.
2021 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX
Perhaps the best and brightest addition to the 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 is the all-new Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 TRX. It includes everything that Ram has to offer, including the Hellcat 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI V8 engine that delivers 702 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque, and 0-60mph acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds. The Ram 1500 TRX model starts at $93,645 and features 35-inch tires, a performance hood with functional air scoop and heat extractors, and the Uconnect 4C multimedia centre with 12-inch touchscreen and navigation.
2020 Ram 150 Models and Powertrains
The 2021 Ram 1500 is available in eight trim levels with multiple configurations and optional packages.
These eight different models can be configured with an engine that matches the driver's needs. The Ram 1500 comes standard with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with eTorque engine with the ability to upgrade to a 5.7 HEMI V8, 5.7 HEMI V8 with eTorque, 3.0-litre Ecodiesel V6, or 6.2-litre Supercharged HEMI V8 engine.
New Features, New Fun
Even though the 2021 model is not a true refresh, Ram continues to improve upon greatness with its updates to the Ram 1500. Drivers now have more options available to them, allowing them to configure the truck to meet their specific wants and needs. Drivers cannot ask for much more in a full-size pickup truck.
