Power and Performance

The Compass is definitely more equipped to handle off-road trails. The Compass offers several innovative 4x4 systems, a terrain-select system, and a powerful and efficient engine. The standard 2.4-litre I-4 engine is able to deliver 180horsepwoer and 175 lb.-ft of torque. With this engine, the Compass can get an estimated 7.6 L/100km on the highway.

The Tucson comes equipped with a 2.5-litre engine that delivers 187 horsepower. While this engine may deliver slightly more horsepower, it is not more fuel-efficient. The Tucson gets an estimated 9.9 L/100 km in the city and 9.9 L/100km on the highway.
