Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Grand Cherokee enters its fifth generation this year. As a result, the Grand Cherokee has received a number of innovative upgrades. The interior and exterior receive a fresh new design. There are also more standard safety features and exciting high-tech equipment. The Grand Cherokee also gets a new set of bones this year, as the body is riding on a new frame.
2022 Toyota 4Runner
Most of the 4Runner models are largely unchanged this year. However, the SUV does introduce a new trim level to the lineup called the TRD Sport. This model adds faux-leather upholstery to the interior as well as 20-inch wheels and hood scoop to the exterior.
Interior Design
The Grand Cherokee features a larger and refreshed cabin. The interior can seat up to five people while also offering plenty of legroom and headspace for all occupants. The rear cargo area is also large enough to fit several bags of luggage but can be expanded by lowering the rear seats. The interior can also be adorned with a wide range of premium materials including Nappa leather and open-pore wooden trim.
The Grand Cherokee also comes standard with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, but a large 10.1-inch display is available. There is also an available 10.3-inch display that is integrated into the dash and is positioned in front of the front passenger's seat.
The 4Runner's interior can seem cramped for backseat passengers. Also, the vehicle only offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display.
Power and Performance
The Grand Cherokee offers two powerful engines to choose from. The standard 3.6-litre V6 engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and delivers 293 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque. There is also an available 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine that delivers up to 360 horsepower and 390 lb. ft of torque.
The 2022 4Runner only offers one engine option. The standard 4.0-litre V6 engine is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and delivers 270 horsepower.
