Performance Specs
The Ram 3500 is famous for its muscular performances, and the engines in this lineup indeed keep the tradition alive. Three engines are available across all trims:
- The 6.4-litre HEMI VVT V8 comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and delivers a torque capacity of 429 lb-ft and 410 horsepower.
- The Cummins 6.7-litre Turbo High-Output Diesel I-6 also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and has 386 horsepower and an impressive 850 lb-ft torque capacity.
- The 6.7-litre Cummins I-6 Turbo Diesel has a six-speed automatic transmission available, has 420 horsepower, and delivers 1,075 lb-ft of torque capacity.
Technology and Safety Features
The 2023 Ram 3500’s digital cluster is larger than it was in previous versions, and SiriusXM subscriptions are now available for all trims. The Tradesman and Big Horn trims also come with a one-year subscription to SiriusXM Guardian.
All trims have the same basic safety features, such as airbags, security alarms, keyless entry, and four-wheel antilock disc brakes. Regardless of trim, you can also count on extra safety assistance features, including electronic roll mitigation, trailer sway control, hill start assist, ready alert braking, rain brake support, and traction control.
Design Elements
The Ram 3500’s entry-level trim has a black front grille and a chrome RAM badge. The Big Horn trims and higher have chrome front grilles with silver and chrome details. All models come with tow hooks, while fog lamps and fender flares are available only for Limited Longhorn and Limited models.
The truck has space for up to six passengers and foldable rear seats. There’s plenty of interior space for everyone and a few options for upholstery, including leather seats.
The ride is even more comfortable thanks to a dual-zone climate control system; heated and cooled front seats are also available. The Longhorn Limited and Limited trims offer premium leather seatings; however, those models don’t have front armrests like the rest of the lineup. Laramie and above trims have adjustable front and rear seats, with lumbar adjustments for the driver’s seat.
Crew Cab models have rear in-floor storage bins if you need extra cargo space. Glovebox lamps and auto-dimming rearview mirrors are available only for the Laramie and above trims.
