Jeep Gladiator 2024: a minor update?

The first images of what appears to be the 2024 Jeep Gladiator have started circulating widely on the web. The American manufacturer’s truck remains largely unchanged for this new year/model. However, there are a few small improvements worth mentioning.

The Jeep Gladiator is the only midsize pickup truck that has not undergone a complete transformation in recent years. The Nissan Frontier was recently completely renewed, and the new generations of the Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Toyota Tacoma are also set to enter the market. Fortunately, the Jeep Gladiator stands out with its enhanced off-road capabilities and, most notably, as the only truck that allows you to remove the doors and roof.

A sense of déjà vu

The improvements to the 2024 Jeep Gladiator appear to be very similar to those of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The grille is slightly different, and new colors can also be expected. Where the 2024 Gladiator should change more is in its interior. Unfortunately, the dashboard of the spotted model was completely covered in heavy camouflage. This leads us to believe that the American manufacturer has opted for a rather radical transformation.

According to the most popular rumors, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator is expected to benefit from the same improvements as its close cousin, the Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler received a new dashboard and a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen. It also seems that soundproofing has been significantly improved for the 2024 Wrangler, a feature that is also expected to be found in the Jeep Gladiator.

A new engine?

For now, there is nothing to suggest that there will be any mechanical changes for the 2024 Jeep Gladiator. Although it shares many components with the Wrangler, its mechanical variety remains limited compared to that of its close cousin.

Currently, the Jeep Gladiator offers two mechanical options. It starts with the classic 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine, which delivers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Then there is the optional 3.0-liter diesel engine with 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. It is expected that the PHEV 4xe version will make its way to the Gladiator lineup in the near future. However, the American manufacturer has not mentioned anything about it yet.

No launch date has been announced for the model, but it should be revealed soon.
